Nokia’s Ovi maps have been upgraded to include information from three other sources – Expedia, Time Out and Qype. Ovi maps are offered free to Nokia handset users so this added information source will no doubt be a useful addition.

Samsung’s newest phone – the Galaxy Europa i5500 will be available in July. It will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse.

In just three days, Apple sold 1.7 million handsets of its iPhone 4. This apparently is better than Apple’s own expectations. In an interview Steve Jobs, Apple’s Chief Executive Officer said: “This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologise to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

If you are regular user of the BBC iPlayer, then you’re in luck. It’s been announced that the TV replay feature will be available of Android smartphones.
While this is good news, there are issues surrounding this announcement.
