I was reading about this on Reuters earlier this morning. In Oregon, the Supreme Court is debating on whether the police in their state are required to obtain a search warrant before looking at the data stored on a person’s smartphone. While taking photographs with a smartphone still doesn’t compete with a digital SLR, mobile phone cameras and video taking capabilities have come a long way over the past several years. Moreover, with the addition of apps, they can even do a few things an SLR can’t. While the PC World article focuses on the iPhone, Android phones also have similar applications; so if you are an Android person rather than an iPhone person, never fear, I would suspect that there are similarly cool apps available through the Android Market.… Read the rest

The follow-up device to the popular Motorola Droid X is hitting the States later this week.
Look a lot like its predecessor, the new handset features a large 4.3 high-resolution display and is said to have excellent calling quality.
