Ancestry.com Has Just Been Acquired For $1.6 Billion
What would you do with $1.6 Billion?
Buy a car? A jet? A small Island maybe?
Well that’s what the investors of Ancestry will be dwelling over in the next couple of months after selling the Genealogy Company Ancestry.com for a whopping $1.6 Billion.
The company has had over 2 million paying subscribers as of June 2012 and it expects a 2012 revenue of up to $480.0 million.
The acquisition has been lead by an investor group with European private equity company Permira at the helm.
