They need to be cared for and protected. Unfortunately, there are worldwide incidents where children are mistreated or worse, end up missing. Sprint is a USA company that has decided to start a mobile phone recycling programme to help the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. It has already brought in a substantial amount of money.

Even though such a programme does not exist for the UK, this does not mean one cannot do their part. Anyone can recycle their mobile phone and help children. The money can be given to any charity that helps children. If not a charity donation than a direct offering for a child that needs help is possible.

Mobile phone recycling earns you cash. If you have a more popular model of mobile phone, you can certainly get more money for recycling it. Yet, it does not matter how much you earn if you are going to help children or others in need. Any little bit can help. This is perhaps why the programme in the USA has been one of fascination even to those around the world. Kids cannot help themselves with everything. There are self-sufficient children, but they still need protection. If mobile phone recycling can help in this as well as protect the environment, it is a worthy cause even if someone has to start his or her own similar programme in the UK.

Apple iPhone has reached 8.3 per cent of the world’s mobile phone market. This is partially due to mobile phone recycling where old phones are turned in and then they are refurbished. During the refurbishment project, any Apple iPhone that can be reused is then resold. A refurbished iPhone can be more affordable for some people to gain an Apple iPhone and more importantly, it is one of the reasons there is an 8.3 per cent share of Apple iPhones on the market right now.

Apple has sold 37 million iPhones just in the 4th quarter of 2011. During 2011, about 93 million iPhones were shipped worldwide, thus Apple has certainly cornered the mobile phone market. Recycling is just an added benefit for the phone since it means more people can afford to buy it. When a phone is released for a few hundred pounds, it can mean difficulty in purchasing it for most consumers. Unless there are free deals to give the phone away with a new contract, consumers have to look for other methods.

Even if some of the market share is with older versions of the iPhone it still means they hold quite a bit of it. Furthermore, it is through mobile phone recycling that many are able to get affordable iPhones. With mobile phone recycling it is possible to get a little cash back towards the next phone someone might buy. There are plenty of reasons to go through with mobile phone recycling such as the environmental impact.

As more and more new devices are released on the market, mobile phone recycling continues to climb. It seems more people are aware of the benefits mobile phone recycling can offer. It does not matter whether a person is replacing their old flip phone for a smart phone or upgrading from smart phone to smart phone, the recycling process can be beneficial to all.

New phones are released all the time. It could be a new Apple, Samsung, or other brand. When there is a popular new smart phone on the market, it tends to catch the eye of mobile phone users. Many people have yet to upgrade to a smart phone due to prices or the contracts they are in, but they may be more inclined to upgrade with the 4G broadband on its way. In addition, people are becoming more interested in the advantages that smart phones provide. It is no surprise that most of the phones in High Street mobile phone retailers’ stores are smart phones rather than cheap flip phones.

Basic phones are out. Moreover, there is an app for almost anything. It means even a person with limited technological interests can still find an app that is worth having with their smart phone. When new phones hit the market there is always an increase in mobile phone recycling. Some phones obviously see a larger increase such as the Apple 4S released a few months ago.

In 2003 a law was introduced in the UK to specifically ban the use of a hand-held mobile phone while driving. The law was reviewed in 2007 to allow for harsher penalties for those caught and to also cover the increase in popularity of satellite navigation systems and smartphones, so that it wasn’t just phone calls and text messages that people could be penalised for, but using any system that involved sending and receiving data.

Despite the tightening and harsher penalties (you can get three points on your licence and a £60 fine, or if you take your case to court end up with a disqualification and a maximum fine of £1000. £2,500 you are driving a bus or goods vehicle) plenty of people still break the law by holding their phone to their ear while driving, and even texting while on the move! Everyone knows it’s illegal, so why do they still do it?

One aspect that catches many people out is the definition of driving and being in control of a vehicle. For many, using a mobile phone, smartphone or PDA – or any kind of device that transmits or receives data – is a no-no while the car is in motion because that is what they class as driving and they know it’s dangerous to be distracted. What many do not realise is you are still legally in control of a car if you are stopped in a queue of traffic or at traffic lights and can be prosecuted if found out.

It is also illegal to use a hand-held phone when supervising a learner driver or rider, and if you are an employer you can be prosecuted if you ask employees to make or receive calls while driving.

There is also the ‘just this once won’t matter’ attitude. You know it’s wrong but you’re running late to meet someone and need (not want) to let them know. One quick call, or text while at the lights, will be fine. Just this once. How many of us have done that, honestly?

And then there are those that don’t care because they are good, safe drivers who are always in control, even with one hand on the steering wheel – but how are they going to change gear?

That’s not really much of a legal defence is it? No matter how good a driver someone thinks they are, if they’re breaking the law, they’re breaking the law.

The truth of the matter is that talking on a phone while driving severely compromises your concentration, and was the cause of so many accidents that they introduced the hand-held phone ban. Even using a hands-free kit for your phone is risky and you can be prosecuted for dangerous driving while using one if the police do not think you have sufficient control of your car – the same goes for fiddling with a sat-nav system, MP3 player or anything else in your vehicle.

The best thing to do is either turn your phone off when you are driving or simply ignore it if it rings and let it go to answerphone. If you have a smartphone you can get apps to ‘use’ when you are in the car and can, for example, respond to any text message received with an automated response saying you are driving and will be in touch as soon as you can. It can also automatically divert all phone calls to your answerphone service.

Learn how to get the best deal with mobile phone recycling.

To obtain the best deal for your old mobile phone, you can do several things. First, shop around and check out the history of companies. If you have found a mobile phone recycling company before but cannot find anything on it, the company could be a scam. There are legitimate sites out there so consider asking your friend for a recommendation if you are worried about fraudulent companies. There are also online reviews where you can read about mobile phone recycling companies to make it easier for you to find the right location.

When you obtain a price quote, make certain the recycler sticks with that quote or gives you a valid reason why the quote had to change. If your mobile phone is going to provide a high income from the recycling, you probably want to send it recorded delivery in the event it gets lost. Protect the investment you are making.

Check out other places where your mobile phone is being re-sold. Auction sites have old mobile phone models. It is always a good idea to be armed with as much information as possible in order to get the best deal from your mobile phone recycling. The best company is going to make it easy for you to trust them by explaining the process, including why quotes may change and what other companies are willing to give for the same recycled phone.

Mobile phone recycling provides you with a way to gain a little money towards your next mobile phone. For those who already have a new mobile phone, the recycling money one earns can help to pay it off or at least add a bit to one’s bank account after the depletion. The point is that mobile phone recycling can lead you to your new mobile phone and some interesting applications too.

It is no secret that the next decade seems bent on offering new apps for just about anything. There is now an application for recycling and waste disposal. The app is called My-Waste and it is free for mobile phone and tablet users. The app is meant to remind users of when they need to put out their rubbish, recycling, and any other collections they might have. The application is currently only available regionally; however, it is hoped the application will spark thoughts and it may catch on enough so that many other countries and cities will begin to offer something similar.

For the moment, it is a Canada application that reminds residents to recycle and put out their rubbish. Though it is not available to you yet, there are plenty of other reasons to use mobile phone recycling. Recycling your e-waste means you keep it out of landfills, protect the environment, are greener, and you get a little money for it. Perhaps you can even take a page out of Canada’s book to create your own app that is similar for the UK.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a local MP have decided to stand together with regards to a mobile phone campaign. The MP is asking for mobile phones to be recycled as a method of fundraising. The ambulance can mean life or death to someone and it is important to keep it going. Furthermore, keeping the ambulance in good condition is paramount. Yorkshire Air Ambulance helps various residents in the area get emergency service when it is needed. They are asking local people to donate funds in order to help them keep in the air.

The MP and Air Ambulance are working with Humber Conservatives concerning old mobile phones and they are asking UK residents to recycle mobile phones in order to get the money donated to charity. Where you choose to recycle your old mobile phone is up to you. If you want to help in this cause, you can send in your old mobile phone to a recycling company of your choice. You could go with the charity partner Yorkshire Air Ambulance is using.

The point is that anyone who wants to help with a donation to the air ambulance can do so. The recycling of mobile phones is just the latest way they are trying to raise funds. You can always donate to the organisation without recycling your old phone, especially if you want to donate more than the recycling could bring you.

Recycling your old mobile phone is not a new concept, but selling it for cash is only a recent popular concept. About four years ago, the concept of cash for old mobile phones started to become popular online. In the last two years, more and more guides about how it works have been released online. Most consumers wish to obtain a little something for the phone they initially spent hundreds of pounds on.

As a result, there are companies willing to meet these needs such as sellmymobile.com. It is possible to sell mobiles to a company that will refurbish, recycle, and resell them if possible. They even pay you to send in your mobile phone. This allows you to pick up a little extra cash for items that are just lying around your home.

Most consumers have at least one old handset they are not using, if not more than two. This is largely because we are unsure of what to do with them. Now, it is easy enough to turn over your mobile phone for a bit of cash. It just takes a little research at the appropriate site to find out what the going rate is for your old mobile phone. The older the phone the less one can earn, but even so, you help the environment by using a trustworthy company for the recycling process.

People are paying more and more attention to mobile phone recycling as they attempt to gain smartphones, which are desired by many around the world including the UK. They are handy devices and certainly a trendy item. According to a recent survey, it was found that smartphones are causing more and more downloads of data onto the electronic devices. The increase does mean that networks are struggling to keep up with the demand.

The mobile phone industry has to work out this issue along with improving phones overall. People want to see new approaches in order to get better performance. They also want a better overall customer experience. As new phones enter the market, more people are using mobile phone recycling in order to take advantage of the better technology.

It was shown that in just a year and a half the number of downloads on iPads has reached three billion. Android tablets have only seen about 440 million downloads. The point is that these new devices are seeing just as much use as mobile phones. More and more mobile phone recycling is being used in order to take advantage of the new products on the market. People do not want the cheap phone with little add-ons anymore. They want to see a phone that will work for all types of uses including downloads, emails, and much more. Mobile phone recycling is one way to get what they want by getting extra funds towards the new phone.
