How to Use S Beam on The Samsung Galaxy S3

Sbeam If you want to share files easily and efficiently then S Beam is the answer if you own a Samsung Galaxy S3, and we are going to show you exactly how you can use this feature.

Firstly you will need to be running Android 4.1 (aka Jelly Bean).

S Beam will help you share photos and videos quickly by just a tap on your phones screen, and if you are thinking “I can already do this by Bluetooth” then yes you can, however the speed is much slower and the process can take a while to setup the transfer.

Step 1. Firstly you will need to select your settings icon. There are two ways you can do this – Via the home screen, or you can pull down the Notifications Shade and select the Settings Icon from the right.

Step 2. Now cast your eyes down until you see More Settings, and tap this once.

Step 3. Midway down the next screen you should see the S Beam option, select this.

Step 4. In the top right flick the switch so S Beam is set to ON.

Step 5. You now need to find the content that you want to share, so if it’s a photo you can select this from the photo gallery.

Step 6. Put your Galaxy S3 up against the other Galaxy S3 (so they are back to back). You will then get a prompt on the screen to send the file.

Step 7. You will then be prompted to separate the handsets.

Step 8. There you have it, the photo should now be displayed on the other S3!
