MWC 2013: Samsung Reveal Wallet App, Similar to Apple Passbook
I think this is another unveiling that will have Apple up in arms, as Samsung reveals its latest management application. The new ticket tool which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this year, goes by the name of Samsung Wallet, and strikes similar function to Apple’s Passbook.

The Wallet will store your tickets, coupons and gift cards and plenty of other things in one central place, which makes accessing them very easy.
Although the Wallet isn’t yet available to Joe public due to the application undergoing extensive testing in a developer environment, Samsung is encouraging some early sign ups to the management tool.
Hats off to Samsung as well, as they have managed to secure some good deal with partners such as Booking.com, Expedia, and Hotels.com.
Does it Have NFC Support?
Samsung are preferring the barcode scanning method as opposed to the NFC option, probably to save the added time and money in having to install new components.
So, if you have an airplane boarding ticket in the Wallet, then you can open the ticket to display a barcode which can then be scanned at payment terminals.
What do you think of this new management application?
