Nokia Lumia 610 Review
Nokia has revealed its affordable smartphone for the UK market. The Nokia Lumia 610 offers Wi-Fi tethering, Windows OS, and a flip to silence option, and it will be available in a choice of colours: cyan, white, magenta, and black. The Nokia Lumia 610 will be offered by T Mobile, Orange, Vodafone, Virgin Mobile, O2, the Carphone Warehouse, and Phones 4U for as little as £15 per month on a contract.
The Nokia Lumia 610 is set up for social networking with a People Hub, allowing you to put your contacts from email, mobile phone, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn in the phone for easier access. There are also gaming options from Xbox Live. Apps available for this new smartphone include Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps, Nokia Music, and Nokia Transport.
The Lumia 610 is designed to be a faster model according to the Vice President, Conor Pierce. It will be preloaded with the Nokia Mix Radio, a free music app. Additionally, it comes with Microsoft Office app so that users can tap into PowerPoint, Word, and Excel with their phone. OneNote is also downloaded for students should they need memos, ideas, or notes. The Nokia Lumia 610 will have a cloud service that helps to synchronise with the home PC. Nokia has made the phone more affordable for students and business users; however, it is clear that they are targeting a younger age group with the social media and student apps.
