Yorkshire Air Ambulance helps various residents in the area get emergency service when it is needed. They are asking local people to donate funds in order to help them keep in the air.

Mark Prisk is part of the campaign.  He stated that it is time to remind people to recycle their old products such as mobile phones so that they do not end up in landfills.  The green option can be beneficial in two ways.  First, the environment is helped by keeping the old products out of the landfills where they can be damaging to the earth.  Second, there is a monetary benefit, as recycle programmes pay consumers to turn in their old mobile phones or electronics.  A lot can be made from old mobile phones and usable electronics if a person is willing to send in their old technology to the right company.  It just takes motivation to do the right thing.

Estimated statistics reveal the amount of mobile phones purchased in 2009.

The numbers for 2010 and 2011 are not available yet for how many mobiles phones were purchased in one year; however, we can get an accurate picture of the estimated numbers by looking at 2009. New Zealand’s Starship Children’s Hospital requires old mobile phones.
