Yes that’s pretty much what happened to one unsuspecting user; apparently the Google Nexus 7 is such hot property that it actually started smoking and eventually melted.

Yesterday was meant to be the day that Google held their Android event which would discuss a range of topics from new phones, to Android and other software updates. Unfortunately the event had to be cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy which was heading towards the East coast.

We posted last week that Google have confirmed the event for October in which they will discuss their possible partnership with LG to create a new Nexus, as well as the much anticipated news surrounding the new Nexus 7 32GB tablet which will be taking over the current 16GB as the largest storage device.
