Decision to Keep Phone Hacker Names Private
The Guardian has reported that the names of the hackers involved in the News of the World phone hacking scandal will not be released to the public. To quote:
“The names of several News of the World journalists who ordered a private detective to hack into mobile phones belonging to six public figures will not be publicly disclosed after Scotland Yard intervened to prevent their publication.”
The names were passed on to Steve Coogan by NOTW PI Glenn Mulcaire, in compliance with a high court order. … Read the rest
