Cool Off with a Google Ice Cream Sandwich
Back in May when we first heard about Google Ice Cream Sandwich, all we knew about the upcoming Android operating system was its cute, hunger-inducing name and a couple of logos online. Now that has all changed!
While we can’t wait to get our hands on something that runs Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich, we’ll settle for the recently released screenshots and details that have just hit the web. Though the details are all still dominated by the colour blue, we’re thinking that the colour scheme may actually change before the official launch as well.
But the colour isn’t that big a deal, is it? Of course not! What other changes might be in store for Google Ice Cream Sandwich? We’ve heard that the notification bar will be a lot different. In fact, the notification bar hasn’t been updated since the Éclair update, which was quite a while ago. A new launcher and app drawer are also said to be included.
For those of you that like to take pictures with your SmartPhone, rest assured there will be updates to the camera and picture interface as well. In fact, Ice Cream Sandwich will feature a panorama mode – how cool is that? Can’t wait to see how it works. Oh, and Gmail users get ready for a newly re-themed experience to go with the new operating system.
Alas, these really are all the details that we could scrape up. Google is keeping very tight-lipped about the release and details of Ice Cream Sandwich. In fact, all we really know is that the new OS is due to be launched late this year. Rumour has it that the Nexus Prime will be the first in line to get the OS, but that remains to be seen.
We’ll keep you posted on any additional new information about the upcoming Google Ice Cream Sandwich release as we get more details!
