Experts while expecting something different found the new Apple iPhone 5 was more style than substance.

The iPhone 5 has been one of those devices that for once no-one knew anything about for sure. Customers have also been looking forward to the launch with no fewer than 1000 online searches last week alone by Britons.

However like the experts, customers may find that the new gadget is not as fantastic a product as all the pre-hype suggested.

The iPhone is said to be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4S. It also runs twice as fast, and possesses other features such as an updated camera, but in general it appears the new device is rather short on new features. This begs the question: has Apple has finally run out of ideas?

The camera however does feature something new. In fact, 2 new benefits namely a low-light mode and a panorama feature.

Speaking with the Daily Telegraph, Phil Schiller the marketing chief for Apple said: “We’ve updated every aspect of iPhone 5.”

One other feature which will be welcomed by most people is 4G capability. EE recently announced it was rolling out its 4G technology to 16 cities by Christmas with the rest of the UK being covered over the next few years. So, if you are a city dweller and own the iPhone 5 you will be one of the first in Britain to be able to take advantage of 4G which is said to be at least 5 times faster than 3G.
