Nokia Mango Handset Spotted
Another of the Nokia handsets said to be using Microsoft’s Mango platform has been spotted by an eagle-eyed expert. Information about the Nokia 703 was spotted in some marketing literature issued by Nokia. It could have easily been overlooked.
The details of the specifications suggest that the Nokia 703 is likely to be a mid range smartphone. It is believed to feature a 3.9 inch AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel camera incorporating 720p HD video capture. It’s also said to possess 8GB of storage and 512MB of RAM.
Experts think that the Nokia 703 has possibly been modelled on the Nokia N9. Other details though are in short supply, which is rather surprising given that in amongst the leak there might just have been an intriguing piece of information that the release date is scheduled for 27th November.
Nokia has taken a leaf out of Apple’s book over the company’s Window Phone 7 handsets, although less tight lipped. There have been a number of leaks over the last couple of months, but it appears now Nokia is beginning to get its act together.
All no doubt will be revealed next month at the annual Nokia World event.
In other news, the Financial Times (FT) has removed its app from Apple’s iTunes site after it had apparently failed the company’s subscription rules. A spokesperson the FT told knowyourmobile.com: “We removed the app after amicable discussions with Apple. iTunes will remain an important channel for new and existing advertising-based apps.”
