Orange Announce A Visor For Your Handset
Orange has just announced they are now selling a visor which fits onto your handset. So, you no longer have to worry about an outbreak of sunshine stopping you using your phone.
Football fans will no doubt find this a useful piece of technology. Well, that’s the view of Steve Wallage who is head of sport partnerships and services for Orange UK. In a press release he said: “Based on the surge in demand for mobile TV during the Ashes last summer, we expect viewing figures could rocket by at least 74% during the World Cup. Orange’s mobile phone visors have been designed so fans can watch games wherever they are, whenever they want.”
What’s more, Orange is giving away the new visor for free, which you can order from the Orange web site.
If you also need a way of seeing the football on your phone, Orange is also offering a deal for that too. You can watch games shown on ITV1 live on mobiles by purchasing a mobile TV package for £5 per month.
Meanwhile, Orange has also let it be known that they intend following O2’s example and scrapping ‘unlimited’ data tariffs and replacing them with plans that charge smartphone users based on the amount of data used.
The company however has not revealed any details of pricing, but as Orange is merging with T-Mobile, any changes are likely to affect the latter’s customers too.
