Samsung Set To Launch The Galaxy Q

Samsung Galaxy S side Samsung Set To Launch The Galaxy QNot just one handset in the Galaxy range but two. Samsung is about to launch their latest follow on device – the Galaxy Q.

Recent reviews of the Galaxy S (Pictured) gave this particular phone a 5 start rating from mobilechoiceuk. So mobile phone techies could be forgiven for chomping at the bit to get hold of Samsung’s newest phone.

While this will be some time off, information about the Galaxy Q has been leaked.

Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Q is believed to feature a “super-sharp AMOLED display,” according to mobilechoiceuk.com. However the display is just 3 inches in size. This it seems has been a deliberate decision in order to make way for a QWERTY keyboard on a ‘candy bar handset’.

Observers have likened the shape of the Galaxy Q to a BlackBerry Bold although this is speculation as there are no pictures yet.

Other known features however are a 1GHz processor, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video capability, a 1 megapixel front facing camera and 16GB of internal storage.

The handset will also run the Android operating system, version 2.2.

No official date for release of the Galaxy Q is mentioned in the leaked document but analysts believe it likely to be on the market very soon.

In other news, Android is believed to getting its own Sky plus application.

This means, if you have an Android phone, then you can use it to set your Sky+ and Sky+ HD to record straight from your handset.
