Snazzy New Device Unveiled That Protects Your IPhone
A new device patented by US electronics company, Data Transfer & Communications, has been designed which aims to protect your iPhone 4.
It can do this in several ways. For instance, if you lose the handset then it can be tracked via GPS. Also, if the phone gets more than 30 feet out of range, an alarm is sounded.
Not just that, if you happen to lose the iPhone completely, then the device will automatically store all your contact details and other data then lock the device so no one finding it can use it.
Called the i-migo, while this is potentially a very useful device Data Transfer & Communications is looking for a partner to manufacturer it. China is considered to be the best option.
Speaking with the Daily Telegraph Mike Midgen, the head of sales and business development for Data Transfer & Communications said: “We feel there is a very clear need for it in the China market.”
He added: “The simplicity and straightforwardness of the intellectual property means you could replace individual functions.
“It is a huge challenge. We are not leaving samples anywhere. We have to move quickly with the right sort of partner. Speed to market is essential.”
While it could essentially be manufactured anywhere, the company appear to favour China. Steve Midgen said: “At the end of the day, it is going to be manufactured somewhere in China. There’s been significant investment in getting the company to where it is now. “
