Customers who have bought the iPad have reported problems when trying to connect to the Internet.

With the launch of the iPad, you could be forgiven for thinking that Apple’s gadget is the only way you can read ebooks. However, it is just another option as there are a number of different hand held devices that also work very well.

When Apple announced the launch of their iPad it wasn’t completely welcomed by everyone in the mobile technology world. In fact, some were scathing.

Reports are circulating that Vodafone has managed to secure the rights to Apple’s latest gadget, beating off competition from Orange. The iPad is expected to be available to buy in UK shops from this April.

While Vodafone is negotiating a rights deal with Apple for the latter’s iPad, which is due to be launched next April, they do so, on the back of a loss of over 500 jobs from their Head Office.

Until recently, the iPhone has had a free reign. However, Sony has given notice that they intend to muscle in on Apple’s market.

Although not confirmed, rumour has it that the price of the iPad in the UK will start from £389 for the basic non-36, 16 Gb, WiFi handset.

Apple has just announced that they may cut the price of their much vaunted iPad before it is even launched.
