
Well-known Digger manufacturer JCB has got into smartphone making, or rather it has teamed up with Motorola to create a dedicated smartphone.

The Motorola Razr is now on sale in the UK and it comes with Android 2.3 rather than Ice Cream Sandwich, despite the latter being expected by many analysts. However, it is more than likely that an update to Ice Cream Sandwich will become available very soon.

Motorola announced the first Atrix handset earlier this year with something of a fanfare. When it finally arrived it left many experts feeling somewhat let down.

This year has seen the chip maker NVIDIA making a bit of a name for itself with many of its chips being installed in high profile smartphones.

Motorola’s latest SmartPhone is expected to land in the UK sometime towards the end of September, although no specific date is known. Featuring both a 2.8 inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, it also possesses the latest touch type technology.

What’s been dubbed an affordable tough phone, the Motorola Wilder will be available from the Carphone Warehouse next month and the most interesting piece of information is that it costs less than £50.

It’s been reported that Everything Everywhere has signed an exclusivity deal with Motorola for the Atrix. But there is no official release date yet for the Atrix although it is already available in the USA.

A well known internet mobile phone seller has caused a bit of confusion this week. Initially they listed the Motorola Atrix as available for £474.99 SIM free and then they took the information down.
