
Sony Ericsson has announced that their flagship combination device – the Xperia Play, will hit British shops on the 31st March.
While some analysts are a little sceptical of this information given Sony’s cat and mouse game, it is nonetheless generally thought this date is probably true.

While the Xperia Play is obviously the main item everyone has been talking about, there were other Sony Ericsson devices on show at the Mobile World Congress last week. The Xperia Pro and Xperia Arc were also showcased.

This is in addition to the announcements already made that the other 4 UK networks will also be selling the Xperia Play.

You could be forgiven for wondering why this should be news, but the fact is Sony Ericsson has been keeping their official cards close to their chest with their new hybrid smartphone.

2011 has already seen a number of new devices leaked on the internet. Amongst these are the HTC Desire 2 and Nexus Mini. The former has been described by some as HTC’s latest flagship handset.

At last, anyone itching to get their hands on Sony Ericsson’s combi-phone, the Xperia Play will be available very shortly. Well, that’s the plan anyway.
